NTS Tim Tebow final

Friday night was a pretty cool night.  I had the pleasure to bring our new photo booth out for Night to Shine, a special needs prom sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation at Community Baptist Church in Montoursville, PA.

What is it?

According to the Tim Tebow Foundation, the “Night to Shine is an unforgettable prom night experience, centered on God’s love, for people with special needs ages 16 and older.”  The Community Baptist Church in Montoursville was just one of 200 churches in 8 different countries that created a memorable night for a bunch of very special people.

Something new

It was a different experience for me.  In the past, I’ve always been the one controlling the music, and I have someone else run our photo booth.  For the Night to Shine, Nate Losell controlled the music and I ran the photo booth.  It was a lot of fun.  We were steady with people almost all night long, easily taking over 300 photos in 3 hours. Volunteers and prom attendees all wanted to be a part of it.  Some prom guests were in the booth by themselves, and some went in with their buddies.  My favorite picture taker was Ben and his buddy.  Ben’s face lit up immediately with the booth.  He and his buddy were laughing and having a good time in every picture.  They even came back for three more trips before the dancing really kicked in.  It was definitely a lot of fun.

*Due to photo restrictions, I am unable to share any pictures of the prom attendees.  However, check out the official Facebook page for the Community Baptist Church’s Night to Shine.

Thank You

A special thank you to Scott Eldridge and the committee from Community Baptist Church who put together the Night to Shine.  I know Scott kept thanking me for my role in the night, but I need to thank him.  It was a blessing to give back to the community and be a part of something so special for these people.

Thanks so much for having me!
